Who We Are

About FrazPower

FrazPower, a wholly owned subsidiary of Oilserv Limited is a Pan-African midstream to downstream company focused on the monetization of oil & gas derivatives as well as the erection and maintenance of power plants that utilize those derivatives as feedstock. Our strategic priorities cut across the feedstock value chain and includes sourcing, processing, distribution and marketing.

At the heart of our business model is the pioneering effort of natural gas distribution via a “Virtual Distribution Network” comprised of land and water based vehicles delivering to industrial and power off-takers. This business model serves as a strong compliment to the physical pipeline expertise of our upstream partners (Oilserv Limited, FrazOil Limited), serving as a quick bridge solution for delivery of gas & power in a short timeframe to captive off-takers. FrazPower’s “Virtual Distribution Network” service will play a critical role in Nigeria and Sub-Saharan Africa as the physical gas pipeline network matures to a state of effective coverage.

Vision: To be a leader in gas-driven industrialization & electrification efforts in Nigeria & Sub-Saharan Africa.

Mission: To be a prime performer in the delivery of value producing gaseous and liquid fuels for power and industrial applications, while providing a complete list of services for power plant maintenance, repair & operations; delivering timely and consistent quality in rendering our services, while ensuring superior returns to all stakeholders.

Building a Gas-centric Economy

FrazPower is a Pan-African company with is headquartered in Port-Harcourt, Nigeria. A strategic placement in the oil & gas rich Niger Delta Region which is home to Africa’s largest proven oil & gas reserves of 37 Billion Barrels & 182 trillion cubic feet respectively; this location is the perfect launch platform for the FrazPower business model of building gas-centric enterprises in Sub-Saharan Africa.

By identifying, sourcing, processing & mobilizing gas commodities that would have been flared as a waste product of oil production, FrazPower’s “Virtual Distribution Network” creates substantial economic value from what would be waste or flared gas through promotion and participation in gas utilization programs like:

    -    Natural Gas or Methane (CH4) for power generation
    -    Natural Gas or Methane (CH4) as fuel for local industries (Methanol,          Fertilizer etc.)
    -    Natural Gas or Methane (CH4) as a transportation fuel
    -    Natural Gas Liquids for feedstock to petro-chemical plants as follows:
                1.    Ethane (C2H6) to produce Ethylene in the plastics industry,
                2.    Propane (C3H8) for use in residential & commercial heating                      or as a cooking fuel,
                3.    Butane (C4H10) for blending with Propane in creation of LPG                      & Iso-butane as a crude oil refining feedstock,
                4.    Pentane (C5H12) for polystyrene foam production, natural                      gasoline production, etc.

CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY – Health, Safety & Environment

Other major factors that are driving the need for a Gas-Centric economy include:

Expensive Imported Petroleum Products
In the case of Nigeria, it’s daily demand for refined petroleum products currently stands at an estimated 30 million liters of Premium Motor spirit (PMS), 12 million liters of Dual Purpose Kerosene (DPK), 18 million liters of Automotive Gas oil (AGO) and 1.4 million liters of Cooking Gas (LPG) a consumption rate of imported fuels that costs the nation approximately $20.0 billion annually. Replacement of these imported products with a cheaper and locally sourced fuel in the form natural gas derivatives is an economic no-brainer for this and other Gas-rich countries.

An Expanding Power Sector
Pan Africa remains home to one of the world’s least electrified populace. Nigeria leads the way with a 36GW deficit and has set a goal to bridge that Gap by the year 2020. This is an effort that will be driven in the interim by services such as FrazPower’s “Virtual Distribution Network” to bridge the gas supply gap of 5Bcfpd in the allotted 5 years, while the country develops it physical pipeline network. FrazPower is actively developing its “Virtual Distribution Network” with major off-takers of Natural Gas and Natural Gas liquids to provide these gas derivatives for use in their power plants and industries. Stay tuned to keep abreast of our progress.
